Two orders — sequence and edge behaviour
An original browser study plays the same pair of static line fields in either order. The interrupted field can bend surrounding lines or merely omit samples. A coordinate comparison found 4,804 omitted vertices and 15,171 displaced surviving vertices in the bending version; the cut-only version changes no surviving vertex. Counts concern the sampling grid, not pixel area.

- Relevance
Separates the direction of a cut from the drawing changes that accompany it. The retained last frame also exposes a difference between scored duration and actual viewing time. No audience experiment is claimed.
