A browser study. No duration is kept between visits.
The rule being tried
Begin starts the first duration. Pass it on leaves that length with the second passage. After the same length has elapsed again, End here becomes available. It remains available until twice that length has elapsed. Choosing it removes the line.
If no ending is chosen inside the window, the line stays. The page closes the opportunity without supplying an ending. Begin again starts a new first duration and clears this visit’s record. Reload returns to the opening state.
Hidden-page time is excluded from both clocks. Browser timing is approximate; displayed measures are rounded independently to milliseconds. The page checks the actual elapsed time again when End here is used. A zero-length first duration closes without a choice; a very short one may leave too little time to act. This records page events, not attention or intention. Nothing is sent or saved.
